About Willow & Arbor

Small enough to know who you're seeing. Structured enough to be accountable.

Willow & Arbor is a clinically supervised therapy practice in Johnson City, TN. Named therapists, transparent fees, doctoral-level oversight, and a free consultation before anything begins.

Why Willow & Arbor exists

A smaller therapy practice with a clearer first step.

Many people wait to reach out for therapy because they think they need to know exactly what's wrong, what kind of therapy they need, or which therapist to choose. Willow & Arbor was designed to make that first step less confusing.

You don't need a diagnosis, a polished explanation, or a fully formed plan before contacting us. You may know you're anxious, depressed, grieving, overwhelmed, worried about your child, stuck in a relationship pattern, or trying to understand what kind of support your family needs. That's enough to begin a conversation.

The goal isn't to move everyone into therapy as quickly as possible. The consultation helps clarify whether Willow & Arbor may be an appropriate place to begin, which therapist may make sense, and what service or format fits the concern.

Named therapists. You should know who you're meeting with before therapy begins.

Transparent fees. Costs are listed clearly so the financial part isn't hidden or vague.

Clinical supervision. Associate-level care happens within a supervised practice structure, with a licensed psychologist responsible for clinical oversight.

Clinical director

Owned and clinically directed by Dr. Katherine Barteck.

Willow & Arbor was opened in 2023 by Dr. Katherine Barteck, a licensed psychologist in Johnson City, TN. She serves as owner and clinical director of the practice.

Dr. Barteck also maintains a separate private practice. Willow & Arbor serves a different client need: accessible, clinically supervised therapy with associate-level therapists for children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

The practices are distinct, but the clinical standards are connected. Willow & Arbor isn't designed to be a high-volume therapy platform or a vague referral list. It's a supervised practice where clients know who they're seeing, what the care structure is, and how to begin.

The care model

Built for clarity, continuity, and accountability.

Willow & Arbor was built around a simple idea: therapy can be more accessible while still having continuity, clarity, and clinical responsibility.

Not a marketplace

You aren't asked to shop through an anonymous list of providers or hope a matching system understands what you need.

Not a vague referral list

The practice has named therapists, clear service pages, published fees, and a consultation process that helps clarify direction.

Not one-size-fits-all

Different clients need different therapy formats. The first step helps sort out service type, therapist, format, and whether this is an appropriate place to begin.

More room for clinical judgment

Willow & Arbor is private pay. Session structure, pacing, and how long therapy continues are discussed clinically, not determined in advance by an insurance plan.

The team

Meet the therapists at Willow & Arbor.

Willow & Arbor therapists are associate-level counselors practicing under the clinical supervision of Dr. Katherine Barteck. Each therapist has a different background, style, and scope. The consultation helps clarify who may make sense for your situation.
